Arcus Legal will be closed on Monday, February 20th for Nova Scotia Heritage Day.

The Honouree of Heritage Day 2023 is Rita Joe, a Mi’kmaw poet from Eskasoni and We’koqma’q First Nations in Unama’ki, Cape Breton. Rita Joe is often referred to as the poet laureate of the Mi’kmaq people, she wrote powerful poetry that spoke about Indigenous identity. Her works continues to influence Indigenous and non-Indigenous writers and artists alike.
