Join us in welcoming lawyer Michael (Mick) Levin to the Arcus Legal team, who brings a busy practise in the areas of real estate and corporate law, as well as civil litigation. A Haligonian born and raised, Mick articled at one of the largest firms in Atlantic Canada before joining a mid-sized downtown Halifax firm as an Associate and later a Partner. Mick cites the Arcus team’s expertise, camaraderie, and collaborative approach to client service as a big motivation for making the move. When he is not in the office, Mick is an avid rock climber and serves as a pro bono advisor to the Climb Nova Scotia Association.

Practicing law is daunting in the beginning. When you’re starting out, you’ll think everyone knows more than you do—and they probably will. My advice is to take your time, be thorough, and don’t give up. It takes dedication and engagement to be a good lawyer. It is a never-ending battle to stay on top of things. When you feel you have finally arrived, don’t forget where it all started; that’s when it’s your turn to mentor the next generation of lawyers to help them through those difficult early days.

Hailey completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph, concentrating her studies in Political Science and Sociology. Through the University of Guelph, she also obtained a Certificate in Public Policy and Administration. Hailey brings a wide range of customer service and administrative experience. Arcus Legal welcomes Tracey DeAdder as our newest property team member. Tracey graduated from Kingstec with an Advanced Bookkeeping diploma in 1985, and again in 1986 with a Business Computer Operator diploma. She studied business at Henson College at Dalhousie University. Tracey brings detailed knowledge of real property transactions, specializing in land migrations. She even uses her skills as a genealogist to investigate family connections to land titles. Often working behind the scenes, she enjoys the challenges that real property transactions can bring, and aims to provide a calming element whenever clients face difficult transactions. In her spare time, she is an amateur landscape photographer, an avid scrapbooker, and enjoys visiting historical sites around the Atlantic Provinces.… [Read more]
